Hannah Blacutt, LCMHCA, NCC (she/her)
Neurodiversity-Affirming Therapist for Children, Teens, Adults, and Families
I provide individual therapy, play-based therapy, and parent support for children ages 2+, teens, and adults. Sessions are offered in person in Garner, North Carolina, and via telehealth across North Carolina.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in North Carolina and a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I have worked in the mental health field since 2020, beginning my career supporting autistic children and their families in ABA clinics. That experience deeply shaped my values as a therapist and led me toward my passion for individualized, neurodivergent-affirming, and relationship-centered care.
I earned my Master’s degree in Professional Counseling with a concentration in Play Therapy from Texas State University. After relocating from Texas to North Carolina in 2025, I have enjoyed becoming part of the Triangle-area community and supporting clients at every stage of life.
My work is also informed by my lived experience. Navigating chronic illness, exploring my own neurodivergence, and embracing my identity within the LGBTQIA+ community has deepened my appreciation for the courage it takes to ask for support. I believe therapy works best when it is grounded in authenticity, compassion, and respect for the many layers that make each person who they are.
What I help with:
Neurodivergence support (ADHD, autism, sensory differences)
Anxiety and emotional regulation
Chronic illness and health-related stress
Parenting and caregiver support
Family relationships
Trauma, grief, and life transitions
A few things about me:
I have two dogs, Olive and Twiggy, who keep life interesting.
I love collecting things, including hobbies. My latest hobby is crocheting!
I have way too many houseplants (but I wouldn’t have it any other way).
I enjoy hiking, thrifting, and playing board games.
““People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don’t find myself saying, “Soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner.” I don’t try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds.””
